Changing how you pay for your insurance
Your Cover aims to let you shape your insurance to suit your lifestyle and circumstances. This applies not only to the cover we offer but also to flexibility in changing the way you pay for your premium so, where possible, it can suit you and your changing financial circumstances.
|Important information about payment options||
Whilst we aim to offer our customers flexibility when choosing a payment option, we may not be able to offer our full range of ways to pay in all circumstances. If you would like to read about how we assess applications, please visit the section in our 'Ask a question' pages via the link below.
|Two ways to pay||
You can pay your annual premium as a single payment, or you can spread the cost by making monthly payments by Direct Debit.
|Changing from annual payment to monthly Direct Debit||
If you paid the premium for your current Your Cover policy as a single payment by debit or credit card last yeard but would prefer to renew your policy by monthly Direct Debit, please call our UK customer centre.
When it comes to renewing your policy, we will then arrange to take payments by Direct Debit.
Your new payment will comprise of 12 equal instalments.
If you do choose to pay monthly, your premium will reflect a service charge, as below.
|Changing from monthly Direct Debit to a single payment||
If you pay the premium for your current Your Cover policy by monthly Direct Debit, but would prefer to switch to a single payment at renewal, please call our UK customer centre.
When it comes to renewing your policy, we will arrange to take payment as a single payment by debit or credit card, or by annual Direct Debit.
|Changing your bank or building society, or paying from a different account||
If you pay for your insurance by Direct Debit and the branch of your bank or building society changes, you must inform us immediately so that we can arrange to change your Direct Debit payment details.
The same applies if you simply wish to switch your Direct Debit payment from an account you hold with one bank or building society, to another account held with a different bank or building society.
